In the winter of 2009, I traveled to Mali with a group of students and professors. We traveled to different villages and cities, including Segou, Djenne, and Bamako, and through the Dogon Country in the Sahel Desert, learning about the art and culture of each region. Experiencing a culture vastly different from our own, I was inspired to document the journey through photography.
